The Land Transportation Office (LTO) 7 issued a show cause order against a motorcycle rider in a viral “Superman” stunt while traversing the Cebu Transcentral Highway (TCH).

A photograph of him showed that he was sitting improperly on the motorcycle while navigating a road bend.

LTO 7 said that the driver's act of recklessness has posed danger not only to his own life, but to lives of other motorists and pedestrians.

Risky stunts have ended in several vehicular mishaps along the span of the TCH.

The rider's driver’s license is suspended for 90 days.

He was ordered to submit a written explanation to the LTO 7 as to why his license should not be revoked.

The Regional Highway Patrol Unit (RHPU) 7 will file a case against him for alarm and scandal.

According to Police Lieutenant Colonel Wildemar Tiu, officer in charge of RHPU 7, in coordination with the Cebu City Mobile Force Company, police personnel and mobile patrol will be deployed at TCH in the vicinity of drinking establishments.

The initiative is seen to apprehend “kamote” riders (slang to mean reckless driver) who have a penchant for pulling off stunts to show off and end in mishaps.

"Sa atong TCH naa koy gi-designate nga officer diha and then personnel sa Highway Patrol Group to monitor and secure yung area na wala nay mag-drag race ug wala nay mag-exhibition diha sa TCH, to prevent lang further accidents,” Tiu said.
