Another hit-and-run incident in Mandaue City was caught on camera.
The Mandaue City Command Center caught the incident on video on February 12, 2026, at around midnight.
The road was clear at about that time in Barangay Banilad, Mandaue City. But later on, a bicycle traversing the road was plowed by a pickup truck.
The lady biker was thrown off to the pavement and injured. However, the driver of the pickup sped away.
“Human niya nadam-ag niliko lang gamay unya nagpadayon lang gyud siya’g padagan. Kusog ang iyang pagpadagan. Going to Cabancalan na siya,” said Police Lt. Col. Mercy Villaro-Kantuna, information officer of the Mandaue City Police Office.
The lady biker was admitted at the hospital but was later discharged.
The authorities got the plate number of the pick-up truck and coordinated with the Land Transportation Office (LTO) 7 to help identify the driver.
“Wala pa lang nahibaw-an kun kinsa ang nag-drive sa mao nga vehicle; hopefully nga mapadali ni siya ma-identify ug ma-request nato ang kani nga partido og kinsa man ang registered owner,” Kantuna added.
