Another staging of the multisectoral initiative “Sugbuanong Pakigbisog Kontra Kurapsyon (SUPAKK) is set on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, in line with the 40th anniversary of the 1986 EDSA People Power Revolution.
Through his social media page, Cebu Archbishop Alberto (Abet) Uy said that SUPAKK activities will open with a Holy Mass at the Pilgrim Center of the Basilica Minore del Santo Niño.
A short program will follow, a prelude to a march toward Plaza Independencia at 3:45 p.m.
By 4:05 p.m., various groups that share in the cause of SUPAKK are expected to converge.
A concert dubbed “Yukbo: Ang Konsiyerto” is set at 4:30 p.m.
Uy encouraged participants to wear white, or to use a white wristband or armband if a white top is unavailable.
The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Cebu launched on November 30, 2026 the first SUPAKK peace march from Plaza Independencia to Fuente Osmeña.
Meanwhile, the Lapu-Lapu City Police have prepared for a possible similar protest action in the city on February 25.
According to Police Captain Edcel Petecio, information officer of the Lapu-Lapu City Police Office, their security plan is already in place for the celebration.
