An P11.2-million fire struck a warehouse in Talisay City, Cebu.

The fire broke out in Sitio Calachuchi, Barangay San Roque in a warehouse that stored spare parts for heavy equipment.

According to Abraham Caballero, a resident whose wife is a relative of the warehouse owner, they heard an explosion prior to the fire.

Caballero said that as the fire took place on a Sunday, it was closed.

The fire spread quickly because of strong winds that day.

The incident happened on February 22, 2026.

The fire reached two multicab units of an adjacent establishment parked near the warehouse. One was destroyed, while one was partially damaged.

Amy Tampee, a resident, said that despite the firewall she made sure that all members of her family, along with their pets, vacate their house and that their important documents are secured.

Milagros Pitogo, another resident, also made sure she brings outside of her house the LPG [liquefied petroleum gas] tank.

The Talisay City Fire Station received the alarm at 10:52 a.m. The fire was placed under control at 11:30 a.m.

The fire was put out completely by 11:40 a.m.

According to FO2 Mar Dee Auxtero, fire investigator, the blaze did not reach other houses.

No fatality was reported. No one was reported injured.

The fire left behind an estimated P11.2 million in damages.
