The third staging of the Trillion Peso March in Bacolod City started with a Holy Mass outside of the Negros Occidental Provincial Capitol on Wednesday, February 25, 2026.
The march demanded accountability from government officials involved in massive corruption.
We seek accountability, ang may sala, dapat na managot,” said Bishop Patricio Buzon of the Diocese of Bacolod.
After the Holy Mass, participants marched toward the Bacolod City Public Plaza.
A few schools in Bacolod City and the Province of Negros Occidental suspended face-to-face classes to encourage individuals to join the march and attend the activities.
Participants also offered flowers in front of the statue of former Senator Benigno (Ninoy) Aquino along Araneta Street.
“It is important to tell the people to support the rights and justice of the human being,” according to Sister Veronique Lalasoa, a missionary.
