The family of the 23-year-old businessman who perished in a hit-and-run incident in Barangay Banilad, Cebu City pursues search for justice.
For the first time, the lawyer of the Cheng family granted GMA Regional TV Balitang Bisdak an interview on an update on the case in the death of Kingston Ralph Ko Cheng.
Atty. Terence Fernandez, private prosecutor, said that the Cheng family pursues search for justice for Kingston who died on February 8, 2026 in Maria Luisa Road, Barangay Banilad.
The family also said, through Fernandez, that they will cooperate with agencies in the case.
The family welcomes a parallel investigation of the National Bureau of Investigation on the incident, but focuses tightly on the case filed along with the police.
Fernandez said they are satisfied with the action of the Philippine National Police and are thankful at the handling of the case until this was filed in court.
Sean Andrew Pajarillo, 21 years old, accused of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide with failure to render assistance has posted bail. The accused was also arraigned, followed by a pre-trial.
Presentation of evidence is set on April 23, 2026.
