Classes at the University of the Philippines (UP) Baguio were suspended afternoon on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, following a reported bomb threat earlier in the day.
In a report by UP Outcrop, the university’s official student publication, the threat was sent via email to the University Student Council and a faculty member before noon.
UP Baguio Chancellor Joel Addawe ordered the immediate evacuation of the campus following the report. Students, faculty, and staff were first directed to the Oblation Grounds before being moved to the nearby Baguio Convention and Cultural Center area.
The Philippine National Police Bomb Disposal Unit responded to the campus to assess the situation.
