Police and agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) arrested two men and seized suspected shabu worth more than P47 million in a sting operation in Sibutu, Tawi-Tawi on Wednesday, March 11, 2026.

PDEA-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PDEA-BARMM) identified the suspects as alias “Alvin” and alias “Ben,” both 31 years old and residents of Bongao town.

Authorities tagged the suspects as high value individuals in the illegal drug trade.

Seized during the operation were bags of suspected shabu weighing around 7 kilos and worth more than P47 million.

Also confiscated were personal belongings of the suspects, including a mobile phone believed to have been used in illegal drug transactions.

The suspects are now detained and will face charges for alleged violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act (RA 9165).
