Israel is coordinating with the Philippine government to bring home the remains of a Filipina who died during an Iranian attack in Tel Aviv, the Israeli ambassador said.

In an interview with GMA Integrated News, Dana Kursh expressed condolences to the victim’s family and said the Israeli government will assist them.

Kursh said Israel is now working with Philippine authorities to arrange the repatriation of the Filipina’s remains, but she did not give a specific date for when they will be brought home.

Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. confirmed on March 1 that the Filipina died while helping her elderly ward reach a bomb shelter during the attack.

Kursh also said Israel is taking steps to help reopen the Strait of Hormuz, a crucial route for shipments of oil and natural gas from the Middle East.
