At least 14 students in Dinalungan were rushed to the hospital after suffering suspected food poisoning, authorities said.

A parent of one of the children said the students started feeling ill after eating cassava snacks with peanut filling that were reportedly sold by a fellow student behind their school.

The students affected, seven to eight years old, complained of stomach pain, weakness, and vomiting after eating the food.

All of them were taken to the hospital and are still recovering.

School officials have yet to release a statement on the incident as of press time.
