Authorities are considering the possibility of foul play in the fire that gutted a wing van in Zarraga, Iloilo on Sunday, March 16, 2026.
The incident led to the death of 19-year-old Janzen Brillo, a member of the crew manning the sound system the wing van was transporting.
He was asleep in the vehicle when it burst into flames in Barangay Inagdangan Centro.
Brillo was a graduating senior high school student.
The wing van transported the sound system to and from different locations.
Authorities are looking into the possibility that the fire may have been triggered by a cigarette butt or an electrical failure.
Damage was pegged at P800,000.
