Authorities in Bohol are investigating a video that has captured what may be a case of kidnapping in Barangay Dao in Tagbilaran City.

The video has since gone viral online. 

The video was reportedly captured on March 11, 2026.

The video showed four men with faces covered forcing a young man into a white car near the Integrated Bus Terminal in Tagbilaran City.

None of the people near them who saw what was happening intervened.

However, as of morning on March 16, the Tagbilaran Police has not received an official report of a kidnapping.

The Bohol Police Provincial Office said it has opened a formal investigation.

Cops have started reviewing footage from closed circuit television cameras in the area. They have also coordinated with the Land Transportation Office (LTO) to trace the owner of the vehicle captured in the video.

Bohol Governor Erico Aristotle Aumentado has announced a P50,000 reward to whoever can provide information about the supposed incident.

The Integrated Bar of the Philippines - Bohol Chapter has condemned the supposed kidnapping and urged the police to conduct a thorough investigation.
