Bus companies in Laoag City have reduced some trips after rising fuel prices and a drop in passenger numbers began affecting their income.
Operators said they have cut daytime trips bound for Manila and Baguio City due to fewer passengers.
One company said its day trips dropped from eight trips before to only three trips now.
However, night trips remain unchanged as operators continue to keep the same schedule.
Bus operators said buses that used to run full are now only about half full, leading them to adjust their operations to manage costs.
