A nine-year-old boy allegedly drowned in the Tagoloan River in Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental.
Residents found the boy’s body at the riverside in Barangay Mohon afternoon on Tuesday, March 17, 2026.
Based on investigation, the boy may have drowned while swimming in the river.
No visible injuries were found on the boy’s body, indicating no foul play.
However, police will continue to investigate the incident.
Parents are urged to never leave their children unsupervised near rivers to prevent similar incidents.
