A gasoline station in Barangay Rosary Heights 7, Cotabato City was robbed amid the rising fuel prices.
The incident was caught on CCTV.
Footage shows two suspects riding a motorcycle stopping outside the office of the gas station afternoon on Thursday, March 18, 2026.
The suspect riding in pillion disembarked and entered the office casually while the driver moved away slowly.
Inside the office, CCTV recorded the suspect pointing a gun at a 45-year-old female supervisor and ordering her to hand over all the money.
The suspect placed the money, along with the victim’s cellphone, into a sling bag before leaving the office.
Another employee, who had just arrived, witnessed the suspect fleeing.
According to the Cotabato City Police Office, the suspect reportedly took around P8,000 in cash from the gas station during the robbery-holdup.
Police said the establishment had no security guard at that time, and the victim only reported the incident the next day due to fear and the traumatic experience.
“Nasabi ng biktima na wala silang security guard. During that time na yon, ni-report sa kapulisan, a day na, March 19 nila na-report. Hindi agad humingi ng tulong, it’s because, sabi ng biktima, natakot daw siya. And di naman natin maalis yun sa isang biktima because traumatic yung incident,” Cotabato City Police Office Spokesperson, Lt. Rochelle Evangelista, said.
Operatives are pursuing the suspects, as of this writing.
“Naghahanap pa rin tayo ng ibang CCTV, magba-backtracking yung ating investigating team as well as intelligence unit kung nakadaan, nahagip din ng ibang establisimyento yung tao na ito para makatulong sa pag-identify ng suspect,” Evangelista added.
