At least four men from two families were killed in a conflict that led to a stabbing incident in Barangay San Isidro in La Paz, Iloilo City.
Video footage showed the victims sprawled on the ground following the incident late evening on March 21, 2026.
The four who died were identified as Johnny Provido, Sr.; his sons Joven and Johnny Provido, Jr.; and Tyrone Muya.
The two injured were identified as Gilbert and Glenn Mark Muya.
The incident reportedly stemmed from Johnny Jr. wanting to get back the P1,500 he had paid to a certain Badoy, the husband of a woman from the Muya family.
Johnny Jr. reportedly asked for Badoy’s whereabouts from Tyrone several times.
In the end, Johnny came back with a knife with his sibling and an altercation ensued.
Investigation showed that Johnny Sr. simply got caught in the middle of the conflict when he tried to stop his children.
The Muya siblings were placed on hospital arrest but the Muya family is reportedly bent on filing charges against the Provido family.
The Provido family, meanwhile, has yet to decide on legal steps, as of this writing.
Authorities are looking into information that the money Johnny Jr. wanted to get back from Badoy was linked to illegal drugs.
