Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Vince Dizon visited Pangasinan on Monday, March 23, 2026 to inspect several ongoing infrastructure projects in the province.

Among the projects he checked was the Lingayen Bypass Road, which started construction in 2018 and is now about 88 percent complete. Once finished, the road is expected to cut travel time between Lingayen and Binmaley by up to 15 minutes.

Officials said around 18,000 motorists who travel the route daily are expected to benefit from the project.

Dizon also inspected the Aplaya Floodgate, which aims to help prevent flooding in low-lying coastal barangays in Lingayen and Binmaley.

The public works chief also visited the San Juan Hanging Bridge in Agno, which was damaged after Typhoon Dante and Typhoon Emong struck in July 2025.

Authorities said the bridge is expected to be repaired soon, with funding already included in the regional budget proposal.
