Two people died while six others were injured in separate road accidents in Cagayan de Oro City and Tacurong City.
In Cagayan de Oro, a rider and his mother-in-law died while their female companion was injured after a mini dump truck crashed into the motorcycle they were riding in Barangay Dansolihon on Tuesday, March 24, 2026.
Based on investigation, the truck driver allegedly lost control of the vehicle while navigating a curve on the road and veered into the motorcycle’s lane, which caused the collision.
The rider and his father-in-law were declared dead on arrival at the hospital.
The truck driver was taken into police custody. Authorities are arranging a possible settlement between the two parties.
Meanwhile, five people were injured in a road crash involving a motorcycle and a multipurpose vehicle (MPV) in Tacurong City on Tuesday.
CCTV footage showed the MPV attempting to turn left on the national highway in Barangay Griño when it was hit by the motorcycle.
Because of the impact, the rider and his companion, both nursing students from Lambayong, Sultan Kudarat, sustained injuries in the head and body.
On the other hand, the three passengers of the MPV also sustained injuries from broken glass.
All individuals injured were brought to a hospital and are reportedly in stable condition.
The MPV driver was taken into police custody for investigation.
Both parties are set to meet for a possible settlement.
