A barangay chairman and his driver were injured after they were shot in Pandag, Maguindanao del Sur morning on Monday, March 30, 2026.
Authorities identified the victims as Hadji Mansor Mangelin, chairman of Barangay Damasulay, Paglat town, and his driver. They were brought to a hospital for treatment.
According to the Police Regional Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (PRO-BAR, the victims were traveling from Buluan town when they were shot by riding-in-tandem suspects upon reaching Sitio Bagyang in Barangay Malangit, Pandag.
Authorities are investigating the incident to identify the perpetrators and determine the motive.
