A fire razed two classrooms and damaged one other at Milan National High School in Lemery, Iloilo.
SFO3 Marlon Cañizares, Acting Fire Marshal of the Lemery Fire Station, said the fire destroyed a storage room and a laboratory room.
“Supply room or storage. Tapos ang isa, yun yung ginagamit ng mga kabataan sa pagluluto nila. Parang laboratory nila,” Cañizares said.
The incident happened afternoon on Saturday, March 28, 2026, and the fire was put out at past 6 p.m.
No one was hurt in the incident.
Damage to property is estimated to be P720,000.
Investigators are determining the cause of the fire, as of this writing.
“Sa ngayon nga ang ating imbestigador ay pabalik-balik doon, kumukuha ng mga statement ng mga witnesses doon,” Cañizares said.
