A three-year-old boy was rescued after falling off a fishing boat in Subic, the Philippine Coast Guard said.
The child was with his father on a fishing trip when he fell accidentally into the water while playing on the boat.
His father immediately jumped into the sea and pulled him out, but the child had lost consciousness.
One of their companions performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) as residents called for help from the Coast Guard sub-station.
Coast Guard personnel continued life-saving efforts until the child regained consciousness.
Authorities reminded the public to ensure the safety of children during sea trips to prevent similar incidents.
