Vice President Sara Duterte has clarified that she has yet to finalize her senatorial slate for the 2028 elections, despite reports that several political figures have expressed interest in joining her lineup.

A few months after Duterte announced her presidential bid, she said there is also still no final candidate for her possible running mate for vice president.

Duterte also declined to name those who have reportedly approached her due to the intense political climate and concerns that individuals close to her are being harassed, threatened, or facing legal complaints and attacks.

The Vice President also responded briefly to questions regarding President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr.’s health.

"Good luck sa kanya,” Duterte said.

Marcos earlier clarified the condition of his health when he was asked about it by Palace Press Officer Claire Castro after he was diagnosed with diverticulitis.

“I am back to my regular routine for the last three months. Patuloy ang aking ginagawa — watching my health, making sure that I am always ready to work,” Marcos said.
