A 23-year-old police trainee from Bulacan has accused her 41-year-old assistant instructor of assaulting her twice inside a police training facility in Baguio City, authorities said.
The alleged incidents took place inside the Cordillera Training Center (CARTC) in January and February 2026 but were reported only on April 2026.
Police said the first incident happened on January 20 when the victim was told by duty guards to report to the suspect’s barracks. She complied, but the suspect allegedly assaulted her inside.
The second incident allegedly occurred on February 8, when the victim and her companion were again called to the barracks. Investigators said the suspect sent the companion outside by lending a cellphone, then allegedly raped the victim while she was alone.
The suspect, a 41-year-old married police officer assigned as assistant instructor at the training center, is facing charges under the Anti-Rape Law of 1997 (RA 8353).
Authorities said the case is being prepared for filing.
As of press time, efforts are ongoing to get statements from both the victim and the suspect.
