A 28-year-old man was killed by authorities after he allegedly resisted arrest during a drug buy-bust operation in Pahamudin, Special Geographic area of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (SGA-BARMM) on Tuesday, April 21, 2026.

Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA-BARMM) reportedly engaged the suspect in a shootout after the latter sensed he was dealing with the anti-narcotics agents.

He sustained gunshot wounds and was rushed to a hospital but was declared dead on arrival.

Seized during the operation were sachets of suspected shabu worth around P340,000, a caliber .45 pistol, buy-bust money, and the suspect’s driver’s license.

PDEA-BARMM said the suspect identified as alias “Nhadz,” a resident of Barangay Benasing, Pigcawayan, North Cotabato, was allegedly involved in illegal drug distribution in nearby towns within the SGA, Maguindanao del Norte, and North Cotabato.

Authorities urged the public to remain vigilant and support authorities in the fight against illegal drugs.
