An alleged leader of a crime group in northern Isabela was killed during a police operation in Sto. Tomas town, authorities said.
Police said the suspect had earlier been involved in a shooting incident in the nearby town of Delfin Albano before fleeing the area.
A dragnet operation was launched, which led authorities to track down and corner the suspect in Sto. Tomas, where he was killed.
Two of his alleged associates were arrested during the operation. All three were reportedly included in the police drug watchlist.
The two arrested suspects are now under police custody, and charges are being prepared against them.
As press time, authorities have yet to release further details, and the suspects have not issued any statements.
