Two riders died in a shooting incident and a road accident in the cities of Tagum and Davao.
A 46-year-old rider was shot dead in Barangay San Isidro, Tagum City, Davao del Norte over the weekend.
Based on investigation, the victim was driving his motorcycle when he was gunned down by an unidentified suspect riding another motorcycle.
The victim died on the spot after sustaining wounds in the head and body.
The assailant fled after the incident.
Recovered from the crime scene were six empty shells of a caliber .45 pistol.
Investigators are eyeing personal conflict as motive.
Authorities are still investigating the incident to identify and arrest the perpetrator.
Meanwhile, another rider died while his companion was injured after the motorcycle they were riding crashed into a tree in Toril, Davao City morning on Monday, April 27, 2026.
Based on investigation, the 25-year-old rider and his companion, a 19-year-old student, were traveling downhill when the driver reportedly lost control of the motorcycle while navigating a curved portion of the road, causing them to crash into a jackfruit tree.
The rider died on the spot while his companion sustained minor injuries.
