A 48-year-old man was arrested with suspected shabu worth around P3.4 million in a buy-bust operation in Mandaue City, Cebu.

Police said the suspect was arrested following several weeks of surveillance.

Authorities said the suspect allegedly was able to dispose up to one kilo of shabu weekly.

Police said the suspect reportedly acted as a “bodegero” or courier for other drug personalities, facilitating payments through mobile wallets or online banking before deliveries were made.

“Accordingly naa siyay contact sa mga tawo nga drug personalities ginasugo siya mura siyag bodegero,” Mandaue City Police Office Director, Col. Cirilo Acosta Jr., said.

The suspect was tagged as a high value individual in the illegal drug trade, considering the quantity of drugs seized.

“Gina-consider as high value individual considering sa kadako sa iya quantity gina-carry or gina-deal. This is a three-week surveillance and planning,” Acosta added.
