A 38-year-old man was allegedly hacked to death by his neighbor in Libona, Bukidnon.

Based on investigation, the victim, who was reportedly under the influence of alcohol, allegedly entered the suspect’s house and began shouting, which resulted in a confrontation.

“Niadto ni siya sa balay sa suspetsado… medyo nagmaoy ni siya unya naguba ang speaker ug ang atop sa atong suspetsado… mao to naa’y confrontation nga nahitabo unya didto na natigbasan sa atong suspetsado ang atong biktima,” Bukidnon Police Provincial Office Spokesperson, Capt. Sheila Joy Jangad, said.

Residents found the victim with hack wounds in the chest and head in Sitio Layungon, Barangay Pungol.

The suspect turned himself in to authorities later.

The bolo used in the crime was also recovered.

The suspect may face murder charges.

“Naa na sa immediate family giturn over ang patayng lawas unya atong suspetsado anaa karon sa Libona Municipal Police Station para sa proper disposition,” Jangad added.
