Voters have the last weekend to register for the 2026 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE).

The deadline for registration is on May 18, 2026 while the BSKE is scheduled for November 2, 2026, according to the official calendar released by the Commission on Elections (Comelec).

Comelec said registration covers new voters, updates of voter records, transfer of registration, correction of entries, reactivation, inclusion, and reinstatement of names in the voters’ list.

Eligible Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) voters are Filipinos aged 15 to 30 years old. Regular voters must be at least 18 years old on or before election day.

To expand access, Comelec has conducted satellite registration in various barangays and coordinated with SK chairpersons to help encourage youth participation.

REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must appear personally before the Office of the Election Officer or authorized registration sites during office hours, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

They must fill out the voter registration form and undergo biometrics capture, including photo, fingerprints, and signature.

A valid ID with photo and signature is required. Accepted IDs include passports, driver’s licenses, PhilSys ID, postal ID, student ID, company ID, senior citizen ID, and PWD ID, among others.

Comelec also reminded that barangay certificates and community tax certificates without photo and signature are not accepted as valid identification.

The poll body earlier set a target of at least 1.4 million new voters for the registration period, with millions of applications already processed nationwide based on earlier Comelec data cited by GMA News Online.
