Authorities have served the order of revocation on the license to own and possess firearms (LTOPF) and firearms registrations of Senator Ronald dela Rosa on Wednesday, May 27, 2026.

Personnel of the Regional Civil Security Unit-Davao (RCSU-11), Police Regional Office-Davao (PRO-11), and the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) implemented the revocation order, which was received by Dela Rosa’s legal representative, Atty. Vicente Adrian Pajaro.

According to PRO-11, Pajaro said he would discuss the matter with the senator and coordinate with RCSU-11 regarding the revocation order.

Police officials said the order was implemented professionally and in accordance with the rule of law.

“The implementation and service of the Order of Revocation were conducted in accordance with the rule of law, established procedures, and with the highest degree of professionalism. The Philippine National Police remains committed to the fair, impartial, and lawful execution of its mandates while ensuring respect for due process and the rights of all parties concerned,” PRO-11 Director, Brigadier General Leon Victor Rosete, said.

Earlier, the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) labeled the former PNP chief and now senator as “armed and dangerous.”

Authorities said Dela Rosa owns at least 118 registered firearms, including high-powered weapons, which must be surrendered within 48 hours after receiving the notice.

The NBI warned that law enforcement officers could be placed at risk in serving the warrant issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC) against Dela Rosa if the senator’s firearms remain registered legally.
