A 24-year-old man was attacked and beaten by a group of men in Urdaneta City, Pangasinan, based on CCTV footage released by village officials.
The incident happened along Belmonte Street in Barangay Poblacion on Saturday night, June 6, 2026, where CCTV showed the victim running before being caught and punched repeatedly by several suspects.
The footage also showed another man joining the attack, while one suspect appeared to kneel on a sensitive part of the victim’s body. The victim eventually fell to the ground and was seen in pain.
According to the victim’s mother, Gloria Villasita, her son was just walking in the area to pick up his wife when the incident happened.
Tumakbo po siya kasi parang isang grupo iyon.” she said.
The victim is now recovering in a hospital due to bruises and swelling. His identity has not yet been publicly disclosed by authorities.
Barangay Poblacion councilman Reynante Rosario said the victim can coordinate with the barangay so they can help identify the suspects.
Pwede tayong makipag-coordinate kung taga saan man sila.” he said.
The victim has not yet decided to file a formal complaint but is reportedly open to settling the matter, according to his family.
“Hangga’t maaari po sana, aregluhin po. Mahirap po ang may kaaway.” Villasita said.
Barangay officials said their office remains open to help resolve the incident and assist in identifying those responsible.
Rosario added.
