A truck loaded with relief goods bound for the survivors of the magnitude 7.8 earthquake in Jose Abad Santos, Davao Occidental fell into a ravine in Barangay Lapuan, Don Marcelino town.
According to a report by GMA Super Radyo Davao, the Police Regional Office-Davao (PRO-11) said the truck came from Davao City with a convoy of content creators delivering assistance to quake survivors.
However, the truck reportedly lost its brakes while traveling downhill and navigating a curve in Sitio Sinugpang, which caused the vehicle to fall.
No one died in the incident, but the driver and his helper sustained injuries while the relief items spilled out.
The content creators asked for understanding from the people of Jose Abad Santos since the delivery could no longer proceed.
Mayor Jason John Joyce still expressed his gratitude to those who initiated the effort.
