Police have arrested one of their own following an alleged gun-toting incident in Barangay Cabantian, Davao City on Monday, June 22, 2026.

According to the Davao City Police Office (DCPO), the 41-year-old suspect was assigned to the Regional Personnel Security Unit-Davao (RPSU-11).

He was allegedly under the influence of alcohol at that time.

The suspect is facing grave threat charges.

DCPO director, Col. Peter Madria, said the organization does not tolerate any form of misconduct or lawlessness within its ranks.

"No member of the Philippine National Police is above the law. We do not tolerate inappropriate behavior from anyone in our organization. Whatever it takes, erring personnel will not be exempted from criminal and administrative liability," Madria said.
