The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has hoisted Wind Signal No. 1 over parts of Cagayan Province as Super Typhoon "Bavi" outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) is named #IndayPH.
In its 11 p.m. bulletin on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, PAGASA said the areas with Wind Signal No. 1 included Santa Ana, Gonzaga, Lal-Lo, Gattaran, and Santa Teresita in the northern portion of Cagayan.
PAGASA said Wind Signal No. 1 has wind speeds of up to 39 to 61 km/h (Beaufort 6 to 7) with minimal to minor threat to life and property.
As of 10 p.m. on July 7, the center of #IndayPH was estimated at 1,545 km East of Northern Luzon (OUTSIDE PAR) (16.8°N, 136.2°E).
#IndayPH has maximum sustained winds of 185 km/h near the center, gustiness of up to 230 km/h, and central pressure of 930 hPa.
OUTLOOK
PAGASA said "it must be emphasized that heavy rainfall and severe winds may still be experienced in localities outside the forecast confidence cone."
#IndayPH is forecast to move generally west northwestward and will enter PAR on Wednesday, July 8. It will then turn northwestward while remaining over the Philippine Sea and will be nearest to Extreme Northern Luzon by Friday, July 10, before heading towards the north of Taiwan.
PAGASA said #IndayPH will maintain its strength as super typhoon until Thursday, July 9, and will downgrade into a typhoon afternoon or evening on that day.
