A truck driver sustained injuries after he got pinned between two container vans at a warehouse in Barangay Puntod, Cagayan de Oro City afternoon on Tuesday, July 21, 2026.

According to one of the people who responded first, the man was believed to have been urinating beside one of the containers vans when he got trapped when another container van was placed right beside.

He was then heard screaming.

“Nisyagit, misinggit siya… natingala pud ang tanan ba pero wala lang nila gilantaw pero ako, mura’g lain akong pagkuan diha ba kay mura’g naay naipit… gi-lili nako, akong gilili unya mura’g dili man gyud maayo pagtan-aw nako sa gamay nga bangag… naa siya sa sulod… ako dayun gitawag ang forklift (driver) nga ipakuha ang van,” Paul Ampo said.

The driver of the forklift truck that positioned the container van down pulled back immediately.

In a video captured by a certain Christine Ampo, the man is seen wincing in pain as he was being assisted to a chair.

The victim remains in the hospital, as of this writing, recuperating from a fracture in his arm and ribs. He is out of danger.

“Nagpa-recover lang siya sa iyang lawas pero dili na to siya basta-basta maka-drive kay nabali-bali man ang iyang bukog diri sa kilid gusok. Kay niuban man ko sa x-ray, gipasulod man ko didto, gipakita ko didto… nabali gyud ang iyang gusok,” Ampo said.

Meanwhile, the man has decided not to file charges after he and the driver of the forklift truck reached an agreement.

Following the incident, workers at the warehouse said they are now taking extra precautions while on the job.
