A man died after he was allegedly beaten by three men during a confrontation in Mabalacat City, Pampanga.

As of this writing, police are searching for the suspects who are facing a homicide complaint.

CCTV footage showed two men appearing ready to fight shortly after midnight on July 13, 2026. One was wearing a red shirt, while the other, wearing a gray shirt, was carrying a club.

Moments later, two more men arrived, one wearing a black hoodie and another wearing a long-sleeved shirt and hat while carrying a metal pipe.

The footage showed the man in the gray shirt striking the victim with the club as the man in the black hoodie punched him. The suspect carrying the metal pipe also hit the victim before leaving the scene.

The victim suffered bruises, head injuries, and a severe traumatic brain injury, according to police. He fell into a coma and later died that evening.

Police said the confrontation may have started after one of the suspects allegedly attempted to take the victim's motorcycle.

PCpl. Romeo Esteban, Jr., an investigator with the Mabalacat City Police, said a witness claimed one of the suspects took the motorcycle, although the suspect insisted he had only moved it aside.

"Based po statement ng witness, parang sinabi na kinuha 'yung motor pero ang sagot naman po ng suspek ay itinabi lang niya. Kinompronta niya 'yung mga suspek," he said.

Investigators said two of the suspects, who allegedly punched the victim and struck him with a metal pipe, are relatives. Police believe they came to the aid of another suspect accused of trying to steal the motorcycle.

The victim was identified as Wilhelm Helmut Woelfle, who was found later unconscious and covered in blood inside a jeep. According to his family, he had just celebrated his birthday on July 15 before he later died from his injuries.

His mother appealed for justice.

"Masakit po, hindi ko po matanggap kasi kahit kailan 'di ko na makikita siya. Paano kami magse-celebrate, kung nandoon na siya. Habang buhay ko pong dadalhin 'to kasi magka-birthday sila ng tatay niya. Sumuko na sila, pagbayaran nila 'yung ginawa nila sa aking anak," she said.

Police said the identities of the suspects have been established. As of posting, a manhunt operation is ongoing to arrest them as they face homicide charges.
