Several areas in Mindanao experienced flooding following heavy rains on Wednesday, July 22, 2026.

Due to the strong current of floodwaters, several parked motorcycles fell in Barangay Cannery Site, Polomolok, South Cotabato.

Several men worked together to lift the motorcycles and prevent them from being carried away. The motorcycles were later moved to the side.

No one was reported hurt in the incident.

In Davao City, motorists also experienced difficulty passing through a road in Barangay Mandug after flooding hit the area.

Several motorcycles and a pedicab stalled while attempting to cross the flooded road. Shortly after, the floodwaters subsided, allowing motorists to pass through.

In M’lang Cotabato, several motorists were also stranded after fallen trees and branches blocked several roads amid heavy rains in the town.

The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) immediately conducted clearing operations to remove the obstructions.

The roads were cleared in the afternoon, and no one was reported injured in the incident.

Meanwhile, flooding and landslides were reported in Antipas, Cotabato, which damaged several farmlands.

Authorities said the estimated damage reached around P2.3 million.

More than 400 families were affected and were given assistance by the local government.

State weather bureau PAGASA said the bad weather experienced in Mindanao is due to the southwest monsoon or Habagat.
