Face-to-face classes in the town of Jagna in Bohol were suspended on Friday, August 7, 2026, due to a shooting threat.
The local government said in-person classes were cancelled as a preemptive measure.
According to Mayor Mark Louie Monungolh, local authorities are assessing the target schools' security as they they validate the threat made online, as of this writing.
He urged the public to stay calm and avoid spreading unverified information.
Authorities are keeping a close eye on the schools targeted by the threat and are patrolling the areas around the campuses.
The schools targeted are the following:
- Lonoy Heroes Memorial High School - Grades 7 to 12
- Faraon National High School - Grades 7 to 12
- Jagna High School - Grades 7 to 12
- Central Visayan Institute Foundation (CVIF) Junior High School Department - Grades 7 to 10
- Colegio de la Medalla Milagrosa - Grades 7 to 12
