Six people were confirmed dead and four others remain missing, as of 5:30 p.m. on Monday, August 10, 2026, after a landslide buried three houses in Baguio City amid days of heavy rain, local authorities said.
The landslide struck homes along Guisad Road in Guisad Sur shortly after 7 p.m., burying three houses occupied by five families.
The Baguio City Public Information Office said rescuers pulled three people alive from the debris.
Authorities continued search and rescue operations for the four people still missing as rain persisted in the city.
The Baguio City government deployed personnel and equipment to the area to assist in the rescue effort.
