Thirteen people have died and nine remain missing as the combined effects of Tropical Cyclones #LuisPH and #MaymayPH, and the southwest monsoon triggered flooding and landslides across several parts of the Philippines, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said on Monday, August 10, 2026.

As of 2 p.m., the reported deaths came from Benguet, Rizal and Batangas. The tally does not yet include one additional death reported in a landslide in Baguio City, according to the latest data.

At least 14 people were injured, while more than 10,000 families were evacuated to shelters.

Flooding was reported in nine regions: Ilocos, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol, Western Visayas and the Zamboanga Peninsula.

The NDRRMC said infrastructure damage had reached about 1.12 billion pesos, while agricultural losses were estimated at more than P3 million.

Authorities continue to assess the damage and monitor affected communities as recovery and rescue operations continue.
