The reported death toll from Tropical Cyclones #LuisPH and #MaymayPH, and the southwest monsoon has risen to 17, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) on Tuesday, August 11, 2026.

The NDRRMC said 10 people were confirmed injured, while four others remained under verification.

The agency said the reported deaths and four missing people were also still subject to validation.

Flooding affected about 800 areas across the Ilocos Region, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mimaropa and the Zamboanga Peninsula.

More than 4,000 families were affected by the severe weather, the NDRRMC said.

Damage to infrastructure reached about P1.46 billion, while agricultural losses were estimated at nearly P97 million.

Authorities continued to assess the damage and monitor communities affected by the storms and southwest monsoon.
