A woman in Roxas City, Capiz was arrested after she allegedly threatened to spread private photos of her and her former partner.

The woman, 28 years old, has posted a P42,000 bail.

Her former parter, also a woman, sued her for alleged violation of Republic Act 9995 or the Anti-Photo and Video voyeurism Act of 2009, as well as for alleged violation of the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.

The Regional Anti-Cybercrime Office said the suspect was in possession of the sensitive photographs.

The office advised the public to avoid being in photographs or videos that are too sensitive and that may be used against them.

“Kung maaari, huwag tayong kumuha ng pictures or huwag tayong kumuha ng video para maiwasan natin ang mga pagbabanta na hindi nila maaring gawin,” said Maj. Froilan Domile, chief of the operations section of the Regional Anti-Cybercrime Office.
