Several young people were caught on camera knocking down barriers and damaging lights around Plaza Burgos in Vigan City.

Authorities said even a swing and other playground equipment were damaged.

With the help of CCTV footage, investigators identified those responsible for the vandalism.

PSSG.

Plaza Burgos holds significant cultural value in Vigan City, making the incident more disheartening for authorities.

Those responsible for the vandalism have been turned over to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and, as a consequence of their actions, will be made to render community service.

In response to the incident, authorities plan to intensify curfew measures for minors in the city.
