The waiter who got into an argument with an agent of the National Bureau of Investigation in Bacolod City will push through with the filing of appropriate charges despite an apology issued reportedly by the agent.
John Carlo Jison is the waiter seen in a CCTV footage who had a brush with NBI agent Jana Navales.
Navales was seen on video to have pulled a gun on the waiter and wielded it while she was talking to him and to the resto bar manager.
Navales accused the resto bar employees at fault for the alleged loss of her jacket and cellphone.
When the news team checked on the resto bar, some employees have not reported to work for days.
The workers, four days after the incident, continue to express fear and anxiety.
“What if pumutok (ang baril). Ano ang mangyayari? Medyo grabe ang trauma. Although hindi naman siya nag-amok dito, ang pagdala niya lang ng baril sa loob, traumatic na,” alias Angel, the resto bar owner, said.
Though Jison was not around also when the news team visited the resto bar, the owner said the waiter is determined to file a case despite Navales’ apology.
NBI Bacolod City confirmed that Navales is already disarmed and is under disciplinary action.
Aside from the investigation conducted by the NBI Central Office's Internal Affairs Division, NBI Bacolod City will have its separate probe.
“I do not want a repetition. We will not tolerate cases like this,” Atty. Renoir Baldovino, NBI Bacolod City chief, said.
