A 44-year-old collector for Small Town Lottery (STL), Roberto Ceñadoza, a resident of Barangay Balele, Tanauan, Batangas, was shot dead by an unidentified assailant in front of a house in the same area.

Ceñadoza, who was collecting STL bets at the time, died on the spot after being shot in the head and body.

Witnesses reported that the suspect, wearing a helmet, black jacket, and black pants, was quick to flee on a black motorcycle after the shooting.

"The victim was collecting STL bets when an unidentified suspect appeared and shot the victim. After the incident, the suspect fled towards an unknown direction boarding a black motorcycle," PSSG. Tommy Piscoso, an investigator from Tanauan City Police Station, said.

Authorities are currently gathering additional information about the suspect, who remains at large, as of December 4, 2023.

Police urged residents to inform authorities promptly about similar incidents to ensure swift response and apprehension of suspects.

"Kapag po may ganitong pangyayari, right after the incident, dapat ma-inform po agad ang ating kapulisan para mabilis na maka-responde ang ating kapulisan and then mahuli po 'yung mga suspek sa ganitong pangyayari," Piscoso added.
