Graduates from the University of Santo Tomas-Legazpi in Bicol and the University of San Jose-Recoletos in Cebu City secured top spots in the September 2023 Bar Examination.
Nathaniel Niño Alipio Tang and Zes Trina Banares of UST-Legazpi ranked 4th and 10th place with average scores of 88.65 percent and 88.0125 percent, respectively.
Banares shared the 10th position with Jayson Ong Chan from Saint Paul School of Professional Studies.
Meanwhile, Paulo Batulan, an alumnus of the University of San Jose-Recoletos in Cebu, secured the 8th position with a score of 88.25 percent.
Sharing the spot with him was Pio Vincent Roura Buencamino from the University of Santo Tomas.
The results for the September 2023 Bar Examinations were released on December 5, 2023.
The exam had a passing rate of 36.77 percent with 3,812 of 10,387 actual takers passing.
