A motorcycle rider was ran over by a cement mixer truck in Barangay Tejero, Cebu City. The incident was caught on surveillance camera.

The incident took place along S. Osmeña, Barangay Tejero, Cebu City on December 29, 2023.

The motorcycle rider was identified as Christopher Moral, 43 years old, a security guard, and a resident of Zone Sibuyas, Barangay Paknaan, Mandaue City.

The driver of the mixer truck was identified as Sergio Villaflor, 34 years old, a resident of Barili town, Cebu Province.

Based on a CCTV footage, the mixer truck and the motorcycle were seen on a stop signal in T. Padilla Street. When the green light went on, the motorcycle went past the truck on the right side.

The mixer truck driver said he did not notice that the rider had overtaken the mixer truck.

Charges for reckless imprudence resulting to homicide will be filed against the mixer truck driver.
