Team Philippines - San Carlos has won the Real Madrid Foundation World Challenge Championship (Silver Group) in Madrid, Spain.

The San Carlos City, Negros Occidental-based squad scored a 3-1 victory over USA Blue in the championship match of the 12-under tourney.

Before reaching the finals, the team faced USA Blue, Canada Blue, and USA White in the elimination rounds.

They dominated the United Arab Emirates in the quarterfinals with a 10-0 victory and followed with a close 3-2 win against Turkey.

In the semifinals, John Jacob Sildura’s lone goal made the difference to help the squad reach the finals.
