Iloilo has been declared the overall champion in the Western Visayas Regional Athletic Association Meet 2024.
Iloilo garnered 219 golds, 159 silvers, and 11 bronze medals to secure the plum.
Negros Occidental secured the second spot with 170 golds, 167 silvers, and 149 bronze medals.
On third place is Aklan, followed by Capiz, while Antique and Guimaras took fifth and sixth places, respectively.
The Department of Education (DepEd) Region 6 thanked the participation and dedication of all delegates and the sports meet's hosts - Divisions of Bacolod City and Negros Occidental.
DepEd 6 said it will prepare immediately for the Palarong Pambansa in Cebu City in July 2024.
The WVRAA Meet 2025 will be hosted by the Province of Antique.
