The Central Visayas Regional Athletic Association (CVIRAA) Meet 2025 opened successfully in Bayawan City, Province of Negros Oriental participated by the 20 schools divisions in the Provinces of Bohol, Cebu, Negros Oriental, and Siquijor.

Cebu Governor Gwendolyn Garcia and Negros Oriental Governor Chaco Sagarbarria gave respectively their messages of encouragement and support to the student-athletes. 

The host city, with Mayor John Raymond, Jr. at the helm, initiated a fireworks display for added spectacle to the CVIRAA 2025 opening ceremony. 

An athlete in basketball boys elementary division from the Province of Siquijor, Francis Jeevan Macalisang, said that he rejoices in winning the first round of the basketball tournament against Tanjay City Division of Negros Oriental, and looks forward to sustaining the momentum.
